Scottish Africa Business Association Launches SABA Briefings to Equip Scottish Businesses with Success in African Markets
Scottish African Business Association (SABA) (SABA) (www.africascot.com) is launching the SABA Briefing, a new program designed to provide Scottish businesses with tools, information and support to successfully enter and thrive.
The SABA briefing will also serve as a platform for African businesses to better understand and explore the expertise and innovation provided by Scottish companies.
As Africa offers tremendous opportunities in many areas, the SABA briefing will be an invaluable resource for businesses looking to expand globally. The series will cover key topics such as getting support from UK Export Financing (UKEF) – helping businesses to get out of risky investments and get financing for international projects; sector-specific opportunities – nailing renewable energy, agriculture, blue economy and maritime as well as Growth areas such as education and skills training so that the company’s capabilities are aligned with needs.
In addition, discussions on overcoming financial and regulatory challenges provide guidance and bureaucracy on foreign exchange management, tax and compliance management, local content requirements and employment quotas.
To ensure the success and viability of this monthly series of briefings, Saba is actively seeking sponsorships from businesses keen to help support the forefront of Scotland-Africa trade relations. Sponsoring SABA briefings provides a unique opportunity for companies to position themselves as a leader in their international business with access to high-quality network and market intelligence.
“Scottish businesses often come to us with the same pressing questions – how do we find the right local partners? What funds are available? How do we navigate regulations and mitigate risks? Through the SABA briefing, we bring experts to the table and get straight to the point Answer. The series will eliminate noise and provide businesses with the practical insights they need to take action and succeed in the African market,” said Seona Shand, chief operating officer of Saba. “With the support of our sponsors and partners, the Saba Briefing will be a driving force for trade and investment, creating tangible business opportunities between Scotland and Africa.”
