“No Kings on Presidents Day” rallies in cities nationwide target Trump, Musk
Protesters who oppose President Trump and his policies are brave Cold temperatures in parts of the United States on Mondayshouting “President’s Day has no king” in the East Coast city and trying to enter the Arizona State Capitol to oppose a bill that would strengthen fast-changing federal immigration enforcement.
In Florida and California, local media reported hundreds of protesters on “Not My President’s Day” protests. The 50501 campaign curated the “King Without” theme and marked a second crisscrossing group of protests in less than two weeks. On February 5, similar activities were conducted nationwide, attracting participants from dozens of cities. Both groups of rallies condemned Mr. Trump and billionaire adviser Elon Musk, head of the White House government efficiency division (called Doge), which the administration said was to cut federal spending.

From Boston’s state capitol to Town Hall, nearly 1,000 people marched in the snow, shouting “Elon Musk must go” and other slogans. The temperature is below freezing point, and the air is cooled by teenagers.
Protesters in Boston dressed in revolutionary war style clothes, holding signs that patriots stood up with things like “This is a coup” and “Bald Bow to Trump.” A sign depicts Uncle Sam saying, “I want you to resist.”
“I think it’s time to come here on Presidents Day to prove the U.S. position,” said Emily Manning, a 55-year-old Boston engineer. “The values of the U.S. are not the values of the rich system or the limited minority of the wealthy people. ”
Organizers of the protests on Monday focused in the state capital and major cities including Washington, D.C.; Orlando, Florida; and Seattle said they targeted “anti-democratic and illegal actions by the Trump administration and its vast allies.”
“Deport Musk DeTrump,” said a sign at a rally that attracted hundreds of capitals.

As polar vortexes play a role nationwide, many demonstrations have been conducted in cities with temperatures far below freezing.
The rally follows a series of execution orders from Mr. Trump, just a few days later Federal agencies layoffs As part of efforts to reduce government workforce.
In Phoenix, hundreds of protesters gathered in front of the Capitol, marked with signs of “No King” and “Resistance to Fascism.” Protesters are safely barred from entering the building after some attempts to enter the room. Demonstrators are seeking visits to a state Senate committee hearing on legislation that would require law enforcement across the state to support federal immigration policy.
Protest organizer December Archer said her goal is to keep the incident civilian. She soon got somewhere between the man trying to enter the state capitol and a security guard who pushed the protesters back to the door.
“We are working to make sure everything remains civil and respectable because we are here again, not statements,” Archer said.
The Senate Committee heard the measure in a crowded room and passed by a partisan vote CBS Phoenix Member KPHO-TV Report.
The station quoted Senate President Warren Petersen, the sponsor of the bill, saying: “After the past four years of illegal acts at our border, every government must support the maintenance of our communities from illegal immigration. Harmful efforts. It is a border country, so we need to give our oath agents to enforce our laws and assist the Trump administration in this regard.”
Critics say the measure, along with several other anti-penal immigration bills, promotes race profiles and family separation and waste of taxpayers’ money.
“These types of bills are politicized by our human issues,” former state legislator Raquel Terán told KPHO. “This is the last priority for Arizona voters.”
In many other cities, protesters found Denver; Dallas; Annapolis, MD; Oakland and San Francisco; Los Angeles and Miami.
CBS News Miami reported a counter-motion with Mr. Trump in West Palm Beach, including a gathering outside Trump International Golf Club.
“50501” stands for “50 protests, 50 states, one day” and is a grassroots attempt to protest the second Trump administration’s policies and actions.
