Ireland v All Blacks: Teams to meet at Soldier Field nine years on from historic Irish win
Ireland will play New Zealand on November 1 in Chicago’s Soldier Field.
The meeting is a repetition of the fixtures in 2016 at the same location When Ireland ended its 111-year wait To defeat the All Blacks first.
Ireland also plays Italy at the National Football League (NFL) Chicago Bears, Win 54-7 2018 vs. Azzurri.
“We are delighted to see International rugby return to Chicago for this historic ‘rematch’ between Ireland and New Zealand,” said Kevin Potts, CEO of the Irish Rugby Union (IRFU).
“The encounter at the Soldier Field in 2016 was one of the greatest moments in Irish rugby history, and the competition between our two teams has proven quality, enthusiasm and quality for each of Ireland and New Zealand, passion for each And respect others.”
The match is expected to be Andy Farrell leading the British Lions back to the Irish coach box on three Test trips in Australia this summer.
Assistant coach Simon Easterby is currently in charge of teams in six countries and will be re-established as interim head coach in July.
Ireland has not confirmed the opposition or dates for these games, or the rest of the fall schedule.
