Louis Rees-Zammit re-signs as wide receiver for Jacksonville Jaguars
The former Welsh Wing is a free agent after the Jaguars opted not to sign a reserve/future contract, so he was able to negotiate with any team.
Rees-Zammit shocked the Rugby League when he announced his withdrawal from the sport’s international player pathway to the NFL in January 2024, a 10-week crash course designed to teach and evaluate aspirations the player.
Initially, he signed the Kansas City Chiefs last August for pre-season training and has moved to Jacksonville and will now stay there.
Rees-Zammit scored 14 times for Wales in 32 matches. His last appearance with the national team was against Argentina in the World Cup quarterfinals, the first defeat of 14 consecutive test failures, leading to Warren Gatland’s 2025 Leaving between the six countries.
