Villach knife attack leave teenager dead and four wouded
A teenager died and four people were injured in a knife attack in Austria.
It takes place around 16:00 local time (15:00 GMT), and is nearby the main square in Villach, a southern town close to the Italian and Slovenian border.
Local media reported that the victim was 14 years old and the condition of the injured was unknown. AFP reported that the suspect was a Syrian asylum seeker and had been detained.
“A man randomly attacks passers-by with a knife,” police spokesman Rainer Dionisio told AFP.
