Aaron Rodgers: Four-time NFL MVP to leave the New York Jets
The team announced that four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers will leave the New York Jets.
Rodgers, 41, spent two years with the Jets but the quarterback suffered a tear of Achilles tendon, which ruined the game against the Buffalo Bills His first season.
Last season, Rodgers had the third best single-season total in team history, including 3,897 yards and 28 touchdowns.
“I personally want to thank Aaron for his time on the New York Jets,” Chairman Woody Johnson said in a statement released by the team.
“He is full of excitement in 2023 and I will forever be grateful for his choice to join us to continue his Hall of Fame career.
The Jets will reportedly seek to bring new quarterbacks as well as new coaching staff.
Currently, they have Tyrod Taylor, Adrian Martinez and 2024 fifth-round draft pick Jordan Travis as quarterbacks.
