Norway’s Jakob Ingebrigtsen breaks two indoor world records at France athletics meeting

Jakob Ingebrigtsen defeated the indoor world record and the 15 billion miles of world record at the World Track and Field Indoor Tour Gold Conference in France.

The 24-year-old Norwegian completed the miles in three minutes at Arena Stade Couvert in Lievin.

Last Saturday, the US 5,000m champion defeated the Olympic champion at the Millrose Games in New York, New York, 3:46.63.

Ingebrigtsen also broke the indoor 1,500m record he set on the same track three years ago, timed at 3:29.63, and then held the last half of the game to add the miles.

“It feels great. That’s what happened to Lievin,” Ingbson said.

“I’m a very happy person. You have to focus on the whole game. It’s tough, but it’s worth it.”
