Six Nations: Ireland ‘optimistic’ over injured trio’s prospects of featuring against Wales
Ireland said Tadhg Furlong, Mack Hansen and Joe McCarthy “continue to make good progress in their injuries”.
So far, forwards Forthers Furlong and McCarthy have not yet introduced the Six Nations in 2025, missing out on their victory over England and Scotland, respectively, with the Mavericks and head injuries, respectively.
Wing Hansen vs. Hansen was initially appointed to play against Scotland but was replaced by Calvin Nash to win 32-18 at Murrayfield.
Ireland is the first of six national tables, up from their two matches by 10 points, followed by action against Wales on February 22.
The Irish Rugby League (IRFU) statement said that the “optimistic” three people will participate in the Principal Stadium.
Ireland has no new damage issues after winning Edinburgh, with some of the non-involved people set to release it to their province this weekend for the United Rugby Championship (URC) action.
