Merck Foundation Marks International Day of Girls & Women in Science 2025 by providing Over 1000 Scholarships to Women Medical Graduates

The Merck Foundation launches their Mars Award Encourage and recognize “Best African female researcher” and “Best Young African Researcher”. The Mars Award is intended to empower women and young African researchers to improve their research capabilities and promote their contribution to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
Recently, the Merck Foundation CEO hosted a virtual awards ceremony with partners African Society of Reproductive Nursing – ARCS, Manipal University and African Union Science and Technology Research Council Recognize the valuable research work of African researchers and contribute to women and youth who are empowered with STEM in Africa, with special attention “The role of scientific research in women’s health and reproductive and fertility care”.

Details of Mars Awards 2025
The summary invited students from the last year of Africa and young investigators who participated in the research related to any of the following topics:
1) Women’s health
2) Infertility and reproductive health
All applicants should be based primarily on African research institutions and universities, although cooperation between Africa and outside is also welcome.
