Fans bid farewell at Manchester United star’s funeral

Family, fans and football players from generations bid farewell to Manchester United and Scottish legend Denis Law.

About 750 mourners paid tribute to one of the historical great players in the game at the funeral.

Sir Alex jokes about the law “will fight with his grandma”

Sir Alex then spoke about the law’s love for Scotland and “he likes to beat England”.

“He used to line up before the match against England.

“He likes Nobby Stiles, who Nobby admires him.

“Dennis gave him a withered expression and gave up a large number of abuses Nobi never forgot.”

Sir Alex went on to say that he often wondered why supporters called him King and concluded that “it was related to his profile.”

“He will fight for the target,” he said.

“He has a lot of courage. A skinny guy stands among all these big defenders.”

Cannon Grace Thomas, who led the service, told mourners that Morners Law’s death marked “the end of an era, the last of the famous Trinity.”

She said: “But he left a wonderful legacy.

The law, born in Aberdeen in 1940, was capped 55 times in Scotland.

He remains the country’s ever-growing joint scorer with 30 goals.

The law started at Huddersfield Town at the age of 15 and then went to Manchester United’s great rivals in Manchester City.

A year later, he left the city to Turin, Italy, but moved back to Manchester to join Manchester in 1962.

This is the third transfer involving the law to create a new UK record fee.

Law spent 11 years at Old Trafford, with 237 goals in 404 games putting him third in Manchester United’s all-time scoring memorial scoring list, behind Wayne Rooney ( Wayne Rooney) and his former teammate Charlton.

He saw it win two league titles, the FA Cup, the first British team to do so.
