England women: Chloe Kelly left out of Nations League squad

Chloe Kelly’s Women’s National League match against Portugal and Spain was excluded from England this month.

The striker moved from women’s Premier League rival Manchester City to Arsenal after he stood out from Joie Stadium in January.

Kelly has not been selected by England manager Sarina Wiegman for the opening league of the team from February 21 to 26.

Lauren James and Ella returned to the team after injuries, but Georgia Stanway was excluded.

The England senior team also called Nikita Parris for the first time since November 2022 as the Brighton striker won a strong start to the Women’s Premier League (WSL) season.

The 30-year-old scored four goals for 11 WSL games in Dario Vidosic’s matches.

But there was no room for Kelly, who was appointed in November against the former England team and then had to quit before the next game against Switzerland due to a concussion.

She hasn’t played since December 15, when City beat Everton 2-1 in Everton’s plan.

Kelly – the winner of England in the 2022 European Cup – pushed for a move in January, including posting messages on her social media and borrowing Arsenal but has yet to make its debut for the Gunners.
