Chelsea star Sam Kerr cleared of racially harassing Met officer | Global News Avenue

Chelsea forward Sam Kerr is believed to have caused no racial harassment after calling city police “stupid and white.”

The jury at Crown Court in Kingston is linked to the incident on January 30, 2023 in Twickenham, southwest London.

Ms. Kerr, 31, said she was “struggled” by police officers after the dispute.

Australian International commented on PC Stephen Lovell, not denying the use of the term “stupid and white” and denying that it was racial crime.

Ms. Kerr agreed with her legal team and then left the court with her fiance Kristie Mewis.

Ms. Kerr and Ms. Mewis, who had been drinking when they were driven to the Twickenham Police Station by a taxi driver, complaining that they refused to pay for cleaning after one of them became ill, and one of them smashed the vehicle Rear window.

Judge Peter Lodder KC said: “I think her own actions have made a significant contribution to the allegation.

“I don’t comply with the jury’s ruling, but it has a lot to do with the cost.”

During the trial, Ms. Kerr said she regretted the way she expressed it, but added: “I think the message is still important”.

She denied the use of white people as an insult, claiming: “I believe it was him using his power and privilege because he accused me of being something I am not.

“I try to express that because of the power and privilege they have, they never have to understand what we just experienced and our fear of our own lives.”
