Southport mum says she will ‘never feel true happiness again’

Elsie Dot Stancombe’s mother describes her as “dedicated” Taylor Swift

The mother of the seven-year-old girl who was murdered in the Southport knife attack said she “will never feel real happiness again”.

Elsie Dot Stancombe is one of three girls killed in a dance class on July 29 in Merseyside. The others are Alice Da Silva Aguiar of nine-year-old Alice Da Silva and Bebe King, six-year-old.

Mrs. Stancombe described Elsie as “very brave” and “fearless”, adding that it was “privileges” for her mom.

Mrs. Stancombe said in their first television interview: “We feel it is our duty as mom and dad to continue writing Elsie’s story for her.

“So many times we have said: ‘We will never feel true happiness again’.

“When we make another little girl smile, we may feel something else.

“We want to be proud of her.”

“Children need to be protected”

Speaking about the upcoming public investigation, Mrs. Stancombe said: “This will allow people to consider some of the decisions they have made to allow this to happen.

“Our girls just need to be safe. Children need to be safer and more secure.”

Her husband, David Stancombe, urged the public to ask for a complete review of the counter-terrorism program but failed to stop Rudakubana.

“The truth is that he’s been tagged a lot of times and because he doesn’t meet the criteria for something…this doesn’t work, does it?”

Rudakubana also tried to kill eight other children who could not be named for legal reasons, as well as Leanne Lucas, who is in the dance class and local businessman John Hayes.

Bebe King’s mother says she has “natural kindness” and is “pure joy”

Meanwhile, Bebe King’s parents, who cannot be named for legal reasons, told Good Morning Britain that they are worried about the TV show for the sentencing hearing.

Babe’s father said: “We know we have to hear this in court, but that’s all.

“There is no need to be televised at all. You know, that’s what really hurts us.”

They also talked about Bebe’s legacy.

Her mother said: “I really hope that, spiritually, she can still impress the world.

“She can help the future, protect children, and I believe she will move to the mountains.”

She said that Bebe was “purity and joy”.

“She is a beautiful, funny, crazy, gorgeous girl, and her legacy?

“What happened cannot be defined.”

Alice Da Silva Aguiar’s parents chose not to speak publicly, but instead support other families.
