Somalis Reflect on ‘Black Hawk Down’ Battle in Netflix Show
The 1993 Black Hawk Down battle in Mogadishu, Somalia is still a painful memory for many, especially for people like Binti Ali Wardhere, who lost it Violent family members. U.S. military operations assisted against warlord Mohamed Farah were upgraded to 17-hour battles, killing 18 American soldiers and hundreds of Somalis.
