Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio Receives Libya’s Special Envoy, Commits to Strengthening Bilateral Relations

His Excellency Dr. Julius Maada Bio, was awarded the Special Envoy of the President of Libya, Khaled Kaim, who also serves as senior political adviser to the President of Libya at the State Capitol. The Special Envoy conveyed a special message of solidarity and reiterated Libya’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
Dr. Khaled Kaim expressed his gratitude to the President of Biology for his efforts to enhance Africa’s status in the UN Security Council. He stressed that Libya and Sierra Leone have many common interests as members of the African Union Ten (C-10) committee and founding members of the African Union. He noted that both countries can collaborate effectively to promote common goals. In addition, he expressed his gratitude to Libya for his dedication to the Bio-President’s commitment to promoting the collective interests of Africa and its people.
The Special Envoy and his delegation welcomed President Bio’s reaffirmation of the close bilateral relations between Sierra Leone and Libya. He acknowledged the long-term and beneficial relationship between the two countries and expressed his gratitude to the President, Government and people of Libya for the ongoing partnership. He also assured Libya that the government is firmly committed to further strengthening diplomatic and economic cooperation.
Mrs. Piagie Alghali, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, introduced the Special Envoy and his team and provided a briefing for the President on the visit.
