Miron Muslic: Liverpool FA Cup win ‘greatest’ in Plymouth Argyle boss’s career
Muslic joins the club in the British football match of Belgian side Cercle Brugge, and Muslic can now arguably Argyle’s biggest victory in history.
Muslic, a refugee from the war-torn Bosnian war, named after him in his home adopted by Austria, and then led Cercle Brugge to the conference league this season.
But he said all these experiences became insignificant compared to Liverpool’s victory.
“It’s by far the biggest moment of my coaching career. There’s no doubt.”
“This is the FA Cup, it is Liverpool.”
But he said there is a bigger ambition on the horizon – guiding Plymouth’s champion to survive.
“The biggest moment is that the end of the season when we stayed up late is not coming,” he said.
“This is my goal, that’s what I think in my heart, this is an important goal for Argyle and it will be the next biggest moment in my career.
“We started this lapse in the half-time win over Burnley 5-0 and my message to the lad is ‘It takes a lot of courage to go outside and finish the game if we can manage this we won’t change the outcome if we can do it , but we will take a step forward, and taking this step forward will help us in the next challenge days and weeks, we do it.
“A few days later, we followed West Brom and now Liverpool’s Sunderland.
“It’s undoubtedly a task ahead of us, but I think we’re ready to deal with this challenge.”
