Dillian Whyte faces Joe Joyce in April & Anthony Cacace to fight Leigh Wood in May
British Dillian Whyte and Joe Joyce will headline heavyweight stack cards in Manchester’s co-op live arena on Saturday, April 5.
Olympia’s delicious Orie will debut, with former magnitude world champion Lawrence Okolie taking over as Richard Riakporhe, who also moved to heavyweight.
In another date on Queensberry Promotions date, Belfast’s super lightweight Anthony Cacace will face Leigh Wood in a fight between two former world champions on Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham on May 10 .
Later in the month, former undisputed lightweight champion Josh Taylor will turn to middleweight to challenge Glasgow European champion Ekow Essuman.
Scotsman Taylor and promoter Frank Warren Lost to Jack Catterall May 2024.
The April card will be the first Queensberry promotion to be shown on streaming platform DAZN, part of a new multi-year contract.
“We mean to keep moving forward, as you might expect, the heavyweights will play a big role in 2025 and beyond,” Warren said.
“I’m also very much looking forward to returning to Scotland with the biggest star in the United States, as well as our latest signing, Josh Taylor, headlines and rebooting his middleweight career, and I’m sure he can do big things again .”
Fighters for the upcoming three matches will meet at a press conference in Co-Op Live Arena later Monday.
