It shows that England has the ability to dominate the “Champions League”, a time when France’s fluffy team in the first half.
Marcus Smith is a game-breaker. His scoring attempts, and he’s very exciting on all posters – he’s probably a name for the kids who want to get into rugby.
But at this level yesterday, it was difficult to incorporate these types of players into key decision-making roles.
Although George Furbank recovered from his injury, I think Marcus Smith would play at the defender, but I don’t necessarily think he’s the long-term solution there.
Fin Smith shows that your competition is different. There must be an element of calmness and control. Despite all his gifts (perhaps because of them), this is not Marcus Smith’s Ford.
I don’t think it was a tough decision for Steve Borthwick.
You sacrificed air safety for more offensive threats when choosing Marcus Smith on defender Freddie Steward, but I think it’s worth the price to pay for this England team.
But, long-term, especially in Northampton connections, I foreseeed George Furbank 15 years old.
Testing game rugby is tough.
This is an uncompromising high-performance environment. Now, it is crucial that we pay more attention to taking care of each other in the workplace. But this is sports, it is a strict autocracy. If someone would be better at serving the team, then you are out. It doesn’t matter.
