Minister Andrew Gwynne sacked over messages
Health Minister Andrew Gwynne was fired and apologized for the crime caused by the “misjudgment” information on WhatsApp.
Sunday’s email report Gorton and Denton’s MPs sent a series of offensive and abusive messages, insulting voters, MPs and MPs.
A government spokesman said: “The Prime Minister is determined to uphold the high standards of conduct for public office and to lead the government to serve the working people. In this case.”
Andrew Gwynne said on X that he deeply regretted his “misjudgment of comments” and apologized for any crime that was caused.
He added: “I fully understand the decisions made by the Prime Minister and the political party and although the suspension is very sad, I will do my best to support them.”
A Labour spokesman said: “Andrew Gwynne was administratively suspended as a member of the Labour Party. We are investigating comments from WhatsApp group that is consistent with Labour’s rules and procedures.
“If individuals are found to violate their high standards as members of the Labor Party, quick action will be taken.”
In one case in Sunday’s mail report, Gwen said he hopes a 72-year-old woman will die soon after writing to a local councillor about the trash can collection.
The MP is said to have shared the woman’s letter in a WhatsApp group containing labor figures, where Gwynne wrote his response.
