Iraq Reiterates Constant Position in Support of Morocco’s Territorial Integrity
The Iraqi Republic reiterated its ongoing position in supporting the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco on Saturday, praising the international momentum in support of the disputed autonomy plan in the Sahara desert of Morocco.
Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein expressed this position at a joint press conference after meeting with Moroccan Foreign Minister, African Cooperation and Moroccan foreign MFA Nasser Bourita. The two sides emphasized this official position in the joint communiqué.
Iraq’s Foreign Minister commended Morocco for its efforts to reach a realistic political solution based on consensus in accordance with the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
