What’s on the menu for King’s Italian dinner with stars?

King Charles and Queen Camilla host an Italian-themed dinner, inspired by actor Stanley Tucci, as well as dishes including crab, ravioli and pork, as well as English and Italian wine.

Friday’s dinner, which includes David and Victoria Beckham, Mrs. Helen Mirren and Donatella Versace, is a cooking warm-up for the Royal couple State-owned visits to Italy and the Vatican In early April, they will meet with Pope Francis there.

The trip is expected to be consistent with Charles and Camilla’s 20th anniversary, and the king tells the dinner guests his love for Italian food and culture.

The British-Telli Dinner, hosted by the King and Queen at the Highgrove Estate in Gloucestershire, hosted with Italian Ambassador to the UK Inigo Lambertini, is a celebration of “slow food” that uses fresh local food and Traditional cooking methods.

The king praised this “the brightest night, which merged two things together, two things that I cherish very much in my heart – Slow Food and Italy”.

“The food culture of a country is a priceless social and environmental asset that is closely related to its identity and location,” the king said.

He is a fan of art, culture and religion and he talks about his passion for state visits, which will be his 18th official visit to the country.

He joked to diners: “What we are looking forward to is an understatement of Britain.”

The reception and dinner menu, prepared by Calabrien chef Francesco Mazzei, comes with Italian recipes with British ingredients. It comes with British sparkling wine and Italian red wine.

King Charles said of the cooking efforts of chefs Maz and Tuchi: “I can only hope that they still talk to each other at the end of it!”

The cocktail was made by “bartender” Alessandro Palazzi, using herbs from the Highgrove garden.

The king made a toast in the Italian “Alla Eterna Culture Italiana del Buon Cibo” meaning “the eternal food culture of Italy.”

Buckingham Palace confirmed Thursday that the dinner was ahead of a state visit in early April.

Rome and Ravenna will hold events, with the king and queen meeting with Pope Francis and Italian political leaders.
