Thinking of Buying the Galaxy S25? How It Compares to Older Samsung Phones

Samsung’s Galaxy S25, S25 Plus and S25 Ultra There are many similarities in appearance and interior. So, decide which new phone to get – or whether to get a new phone Galaxy phone Basically – It can be tricky. I’m here to help.

This year, the upgrade to the Galaxy S series is relatively small. There is one Almost no AInew processors and devices are less heavy. However, if you have an older phone, upgrading to the S25 series may feel like a big step.

One thing that hasn’t changed since then last year:price. The S25 still starts at $800, the S25 Plus starts at $1,000, and the S25 Ultra starts at $1,300. None of these amounts are pocket money, and it is a big decision to settle on the next device.

So, this is how the S25, S25 Plus and S25 Ultra stack, and how they compare to other galaxy devices, including S24 Femaking your purchasing decision easier.

Galaxy S25 vs. Galaxy S25 Plus vs. Galaxy S25 Ultra

The Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus are two peas in the pod. Of course, the biggest difference is their size. The S25 has a 6.2-inch AMOLED display, while the S25 Plus rock is 6.7-inch. The adaptive refresh rate of these two phones is 120Hz.

This is where personal preferences start. When a person with a bigger handshake, I tend to like slightly larger phones because they feel better. However, the size difference between the baseline S25 and S25 Plus is not surprising, so if you want to save $200 with a more standard phone, I doubt you will actually notice the difference.

Larger real estate also means it has a higher battery capacity: 4,900-MAH, while the baseline 4,000-MAH. In my tests, there was no significant gap between how much battery life you can get from the S25 compared to the S25 Plus. They all use it regularly for about a day and a half. In a 45-minute battery endurance test, the S25’s battery dropped from full 93% to 93%, while the S25 Plus’ dropped to 94%. Similarly, on a longer three-hour YouTube streaming test, the S25 dropped from 100% to 85%, while the S25 Plus dropped to 86%. So, there is no significant difference there.

The most notable difference when two phones are charged is. The S25 supports 25-watt charging, while the S25 Plus supports 45-watt charging. The S25 rose from 0% to 47% in 30 minutes and reached 100% in 80 minutes. Meanwhile, the S25 Plus rose from 0% to 63% in 30 minutes and reached full charge in 70 minutes. So, the super speed charge on the S25 Plus might get clamped into the clutch, but again, nothing shocking.

Personally, I’m not sure the screen is a little bigger, the S25 Plus is slightly faster to charge (especially if you can get it) Pixel 9 Pro at the same price). So the benchmark S25 is probably the way most people can do.

Where to put that S25 Ultra?

Well, Samsung’s best equipment also has the best elastic features, including new features 50 megapixel speeding camera. It has a titanium frame (compared to the S25 and S25 Plus’Aluminum One) and of course also includes a pen. It also has Patrick Holland of CNET Anti-reflective coating.

But if you don’t want to spend another $500, you’ll be happy to know that the super cheap S25 similar product has many characteristics. They’ve all packed Snapdragon 8 Elite Chip, 12GB of RAM, running the same version of OneUI/Android, and having the same AI features. So if these factors are most important to you, enjoy extra cash.

Galaxy S25 vs Galaxy S24

What if you have old equipment? OK, if you have last year’s Galaxy S24the good news is that there is really no reason to upgrade this year. The S25 is not only similar to its predecessor, but also shares with many of the same properties Galaxy AI Exactly the same camera specification features (even the same $800 price tag). In fact, the S24 and S25 both had the same results on CNET’s 45-minute battery endurance test, from all to 93% after streaming, scrolling through social media, joining video calls and playing games.

The entire S25 lineup is swaying with the new custom Snapdragon 8 Elite Chip, and there are a handful of new features like AI Select, which can view your phone’s screen and recommends actions like summarizing or translating text, as well as audio that eliminates distracting backgrounds Erase the noise in the video. But, aside from these minor perks (which may end up on older Galaxy devices as part of a future software update), this year’s flagship devices didn’t have much appeal.

Both S25 and S24 lineups Seven years of operating system and security upgradesso hopefully you can really get the value of the money from it.

Galaxy S25 vs Galaxy S23

The S23 also has many similarities with Samsung’s latest flagship phones. Most notably, the S23’s camera is quite comparable to what you’ve found on the S25, and you can still take advantage of Galaxy AI (although not Latest Features Just landed on the S25).

The S23 qualifies for four years of software and security updates (compared to S24 and S25 in 7), so you still have a few years of Android and a UI update in the pipeline. Perhaps the biggest factor for a phone that is about two years old is how effective your battery is. If you still have no problems, you may last longer.

Galaxy S25 vs Galaxy S22

This jump could be more tempting, especially given the fact that the Galaxy S22 phone can’t take advantage of the Galaxy AI, which is now about three years old. Still, the S25’s camera improvements are relatively modest, and you still have time to get all the benefits of four years of software and security updates in the S22 series.

That said, if you feel like the battery life on the S22 device is recovering (especially because of the phone’s battery Poor performance in CNET test At the time), you wanted an AI-powered refresh, and the S25 could be an attractive upgrade. Don’t expect Samsung’s latest devices to bring a surprising look, but these more modest upgrades may still help a lot.

Galaxy S25 vs Galaxy S24 FE

Samsung’s latest flagship store compared to low-priced flagships Galaxy S24 Fe? Well, like the S25 Plus, this $650 phone has a 6.7-inch 120Hz refresh rate display, an aluminum frame, and Galaxy AI capabilities.

Still, the S25 certainly offers advancements in camera quality, processor and battery life, including charging speed. But if you don’t want to sacrifice hundreds of dollars for top-notch devices, the S24 FE should continue to give you at least a longer time.
