Luke Williams: Swansea City need restructure after latest failed transfer window

Asked about Coleman’s reaction to the window, Williams said: “I think the chairman is a little shocked that things are not ready and organized to the level he expects.

“He told me that he felt a sense of responsibility. That’s what the leader did – he was trying to take responsibility.

“But, since he dated here, there have been a lot of people who have really gotten a lot of opportunities. I don’t think a lot of people have taken this opportunity.

“I think he might be hurt a lot because people have a lot of trust in people and they may not fulfill that obligation.”

Williams said Swansea had to learn that “in football, the deal is not completed until they actually complete.”

He added that there could be a lot of “misleading dialogue” in terms of potential transfers.

“Agents will do a great job of protecting customers and making sure they have a choice and sometimes getting information with a little salt,” Williams said.

“You have to make sure that the deal is close to completing before the windows open, and then once it opens, it becomes solid. Maybe (maybe) some departments lack experience to make sure that these things are done.

“So we’ve been cheated a lot of times. It’s something that needs improvement.

“Sometimes people need to see things themselves to believe in them and suffer, and I think a lot of people are suffering in the club right now.”
