I’m conquering this game for iPlayer and I’m really looking forward to returning to Ewood Park.
People there always told me that when we won the Premier League together, the great Alan Shearer was lucky to be able to play with me, and I know Al often said the same thing.
This is one of the relationships you think are likely to be upset because of what wolf boss Vitor Pereira might do – would he go all out or have he rested?
Pereira will make some changes, and I believe it is his top priority.
Rangers manager John Eustace has a different dilemma because I bet he would love to spread his team out to help their playoff bids, but he has no player to do at this point.
Eustace did an amazing job and despite not getting any help with signatures, they were in the top six and their top six.
Scoring goals is a problem for the Wanderers – Yuki Ohashi is injured, Makhtar Gueye is not very rich – Andreas Weimann is their top scorer with eight this season.
They are solid enough, though, to be with someone like Callum Brittain, who is probably the best player in Blackburn this season, while Dom Hyam and Dan behind The same goes for Danny Batth. They are all huge.
It is also important to get Lewis Travis back from injury. He is their real driving force in the middle of the park.
As I said, I’m not sure what the Wolves’ choice would look like, but Pereira might want to be on the win over Aston Villa last weekend.
Based on this, Blackburn plays some good stuff, but not cruel enough, and it’s another tie that can be distanced.
Sutton’s prediction: 2-1 after overtime
Pigeon’s prediction: 1-0
