Eritrea: Programs for Empowering Youth in Gash Barka Region
The National Eritrea Youth and Student Union (Nueys) in the Gashbaka region reported a tremendous effort to develop programs designed to enhance youth careers, politics and general knowledge. The report was presented at the end of a social science training program provided to youth in 15 subregions of the region on February 3.
The training program, conducted from January 27 to February 3, covers concepts such as the history of the alliance and its participation in national affairs, national and nationalism, ideological principles, political and psychological success, youth and environmental protection, roles, roles and other themes of youth, technical literacy and the foundation of philosophy and religion.
Mr. Tekle Zere, head of political and organizational affairs at the Federation, stressed that training not only enhances understanding of youth, but also greatly promotes experience among participants.
Mr Marikos Girmatsion, acting director of the regional alliance branch, stressed that the training program is part of the union’s vision and the goal of developing the overall awareness and competence of youth.
Ambassador Mahmud Ali Hirui emphasized that youth-targeted programs can only be successful with the active participation of the government and the PFDJ institutions, the public and the youth themselves. He called for coordinated efforts to ensure successful implementation of these plans.
