LeBron James excited by ‘special’ Luka Doncic link up at LA Lakers
LeBron James said the game will be “special” on the same side as the Los Angeles Lakers’ new arrival Luka Doncic.
Don Siqi Completed the impact deal on the Lakers Last weekend, Anthony Davis from the Dallas Mavericks went against the Slovenians in 2020 with Lakers NBA champion Anthony Davis.
Doncic, 25, has been an NBA All-Star for the past five seasons and has become the league’s best scorer in 2024.
“It’s going to be special,” James said. “We’re going to attract a lot of eyes.
“Listen, Luka is a big player.
“I’m so happy to have him, and LA is so happy to have him. Honestly, it’s still a little surreal.”
James spoke shortly after Tuesday night’s 122-97 victory against the Los Angeles Clippers.
James is the four-time champion of the NBA’s Most Valuable Player (MVP), and as the Lakers strolled to win, he scored 26 points, nine assists and eight rebounds.
Doncic has been injured since December, watching from the side of the court with his new teammates.
Don Sici expressed shock at the Lakers’ relocation when he spoke before the game.
“You can imagine how surprised I was,” he said.
“I have to check if it’s April 1. I really don’t believe it.”
The Lakers hope Donsick makes his debut later this month.
