West Indies seal first Test win in Pakistan for 34 years to level series

Jomel Warrican ended with match figures of 9-70 as West Indies registered their first Test win in 34 years in Pakistan and secured the two-match series 1-1 1.

The spinners took 5-27 in the second innings as Pakistan were bowled out for 133 in just 133 hours on day three in Multan, handing the tourists a 120-run win.

The Windies last won a Test in Pakistan in November 1990, although they have played only two series in the country since 1997 and 2006.

The home team restored 254 for 76-4 but lost Saud Shakeel on the first day of the day when he gave away Kevin Sinclair to Kaweem Kavem Hodge, 13 years old at the time.

Night watcher Kashif Ali was then bowled by Warrican to open Pakistan’s tail in the next over.

Muhammad Rizwan scored 25 and Salman Ali Agha added 15, he showed some resistance but quickly fell to Warrican and Pakistan left with a score of 128-8.

Noman Ali was dismissed by Gudakesh Motie to put Windies on edge. The left-arm Warriors then bowled Sajid Khan to win the match and ended up as the top wicket-taker with 19 runs.
