The Japanese regard snacking as an art. Bokksu knows this better than anyone, collecting some of the best Japanese snacks and sending them out in either one-time curations or recurring monthly snack boxes. I have to say, I’m a little obsessed with these. The best part about the Bokksu boxes is that almost none of these Japanese snacks remind you of the ones we already have here in the States, but (most of them) are pretty delicious. This begs the question: “Everyone, what are we doing wrong?!”
Best snacks: Seaweed tempura, green tea and lemon cake. Japanese sweets – including yuzu gummies and matcha or strawberry Kit Kats.

Tokyo Treat is another service that collects snacks, cookies, and candies from Japan, and after a few rounds of testing, I declared it the snack capital of the world. Tokyo Snacks has some overlap with Bokksu, but the snacks are more kid-friendly, offering classic salty or strawberry-flavored snacks with less “adult flavors” such as nori, coffee or green tea.
Best snacks: Zuozuo Panda Strawberry Cookies and Yaojin Soba Rice Noodle Snacks.

Not to be outdone, MunchPak offers some of the best international snacks from around the world, including countries like Brazil, France, Canada, Greece, and Japan, earning it a spot on our list of the best snack subscription boxes. While Bokksu offers 100% in the snack category, MunchPak has more, let’s call them guilty pleasure snacks, in its subscription boxes. If you’re a big fan of treats like Flamin’ Hot Cheetos and Sour Patch, but consider yourself worldly, this might be a good snack box.
I noticed that my MunchPak had a higher ratio of candies – 15 candies and only 5 salty snacks – just in case that helps you decide. For those craving a taste of global sweet treats, it doesn’t get much better than this.
Best snacks: Biscolata mood cookies, Kingsbury Flamin’ Hot Claws and Fini sour candy straws.

This food subscription box is kind of a cross between Bokksu and MunchPak. It also happens to be CNET editor Bridget Carey’s preferred snack box. At Universal Yums, you’ll get delicious snacks from around the world (like MunchPak) but with a slightly higher variety (like Bokksu), ranging from sweet to savory snacks. Think delicious French salted chocolate, purple yam shortbread, and Turkish spice bagarati cookie chips.
Universal Yums is also one of the most affordable fast food restaurants, with snack subscriptions that include 5 to 7 snacks starting at less than $20 per month.
Best snacks: Black truffle crisps, handmade baklava and garlic plantain chips.

You can guess what the best features of this snack gift box and monthly snack subscription box are. But we’re not talking about boring old Milky Ways and Skittles here: Candy Club sends out its own candies and changes them every month for subscribers with a sweet tooth. The monthly boxes feature a healthy mix of fruit, sours and chocolate, with the occasional cake, caramel or toffee. You can order a one-time or monthly snack box that contains six candy cups in 6 or 13 ounce sizes.
Best snacks: Sour strawberry ribbons, chocolate toffee peanuts and cookie dough.

SnackNation’s philosophy is that employees who have access to quality snacks are happier, and I can’t say I disagree. SnackNation doesn’t have the most interesting snack box delivery companies on this list, but its packages always include plenty of familiar fan-favorite snacks. If you’re a big boss, small business owner, or human resources representative trying to satisfy the most people with one snack delivery, subscribing to SnackNation is a great option. Oh, and it also offers coffee and fresh fruit, I guess Technically Healthy snacks.
Best snacks: Hu chocolate bars, Country Archer jerky and Bear Naked granola.
