United Nations (UN) temporarily relocates non-critical staff from Goma (North-Kivu) without interrupting its operations
The United Nations is temporarily relocated to non -necessary personnel such as administrators such as GOMA, and these personnel can continue to perform their duties from other places to deal with the security status of North Kivu. This prevention measures protect the safety of employees and ensure that the United Nations important actions in the region remain uninterrupted.
This transfer will not affect the United Nations’ firm commitment to provide humanitarian assistance and protect the civilians of the North Kitza. The essential personnel stay on the ground to maintain key actions, such as grain distribution, medical assistance, sheltering institutes and disadvantaged communities.
The United Nations is working closely with humanitarian partners and national authorities to ensure that the help of life -saving assistance can achieve the most needed person and prevent any threat to civilians. In this case, the temporary relocation of employees will be re -evaluated according to the evolution of security status, so as to fully recover existence in the case of conditions permit.
