Troy Deeney’s Team of the Week: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alexander Isak, Lisandro Martinez, Dango Ouattara
Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool): This is the first time you’ve heard me say that, and it may be the last. I was there and I would have paid a fortune to watch the game. He’s unbelievable; the passing range, the physicality, the effort, the defensive work, the offensive work. He hit the bar. I think he’s excellent. Player of the Weekend by a mile.
Josco Guardiol (Manchester City): I think this guy’s ceiling is unbelievable. He will only get better as the game goes on, and as he becomes more confident, City will get better and better. I don’t think City would have gone on to beat Chelsea if they hadn’t scored before half-time – I think Chelsea would have regrouped and gone forward again.
Jarrad Branthwaite (Everton), Lisandro Martinez (Manchester United) and Ricardo Calafiore (Arsenal): They’re all solid, decent defenders and I see these guys getting better and better. I know a couple of them have scored goals, but they have started to develop into real centre-halves.
