Top DOJ official in Chicago Sunday to oversee immigration enforcement efforts, sources say
Chicago (CBS) — A senior Justice Department official who oversees immigration efforts across multiple agencies arrived in Chicago on Sunday, officials said.
Acting Deputy Attorney General Emile Boff, appointed by President Trump, will oversee the FBI, Drug Enforcement Administration, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the U.S. Marshall Service and federal prosecutors, two U.S. officials familiar with the operation said Officer Jobs CBS News.

“This morning, I had the privilege of watching the brave men and women of this department deploy in tandem with the Department of Homeland Security to address a national emergency caused by four years of failed immigration policy. Department officials also confirmed that border czar Tom Homan mingled with ICE officers during the operation.
The FBI said in a statement:
The FBI, along with our Department of Justice partners, is assisting the Department of Homeland Security and other federal law enforcement partners with immigration enforcement efforts.
The Chicago Drug Enforcement Administration shared a Post on X:
