Dutch Masters: Rob Cross wins final 8-5 against Stephen Bunting
Rob Cross won the Dutch Masters with a victory over Stephen Bunting in the final.
The cross was in control early on, leading 5-2, but Bunting got back to 5-5 with some much-improved darts.
Cross never trailed in the final before advancing – winning the next three legs for an 8-5 victory.
This is Cross’s fifth World Series title and his first in Europe.
“I think it’s about time I won in Holland,” said Kroos, the 2018 world champion. “Big credit to Stephan but I’m grateful I won. It was a great weekend.”
Bunting, who Won the Bahrain Masters last week Adding: “If you had said to me at the start of the race I would have competed. Rob is disappointed not to win.”
Earlier on Saturday, world champion Luke Littler, who turned 18 on Tuesday, was beaten 7-6 by Bunting in the semi-finals despite averaging 107.59.
