Antony: Manchester United winger joins Real Betis on loan
Manchester United’s winger Anthony leased to join the La Liga team Royal Betis, until the end of the season.
This 24 -year -old Brazilian player Ajax, in August 2022, sells for 81.3 million pounds -The players with the second highest value in the club history are the second only to Paul Pogba.
He scored 12 goals in 96 games for Manchester United, but only scored a goal in the Premier League since April 2023.
Manchester United sources said the transaction covered at least 84%of Anthony’s salary, exceeding 100,000 pounds per week.
His contract with Old Trafford was until 2027.
The Old Trafford Club said: “Everyone in Manchester United wishes Anthony’s career in Seville.”
Anthony performed well under the leadership of former Manchester United coach Eric Shig (also his former coach of Ajax), scoring three goals in the first three leagues.
However, after failing to fulfill the transfer fee, Anthony has been working hard to fight for the opportunity of the first team. This season, only 13 games have played in 33 games in Manchester United.
