Kenya: Ambassador Guo Haiyan Attended the Henan Spring Festival Overseas Gala
On January 22, Ambassador Guo Haiyan attended the “China Henan Spring Festival Overseas Celebration: Africa Tour” event co-organized by the relevant departments of the Henan Provincial People’s Government and the Kenya Henan Chamber of Commerce. Miss. More than 700 people from the Chinese community, including Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife Rebecca Miano, and local Chinese culture enthusiasts attended the event.
Ambassador Guo spoke highly of this event. She believed that the performances of the Henan Art Delegation, including Henan Opera, Shaolin Kung Fu and other world-famous Chinese intangible cultural heritage, as well as the performances of the local Confucius Institute, not only brought the audience a deeper understanding of the motherland’s influence on overseas The warmth and blessings of the Chinese also provide a good platform for Kenyan friends to better understand and appreciate Chinese culture. This is a feast of cultural exchanges and a dialogue between different civilizations. The embassy spoke highly of the local Chinese community in Kenya for organizing this event and its contribution to promoting cooperation and friendship between the two countries, and stated that it will continue to work hard to provide better services to the local Chinese community in Kenya.
Miss. Miano spoke highly of the profoundness of Chinese culture and the fruitful results achieved in people-to-people and cultural exchanges between China and Kenya. She encouraged more Chinese tourists to come to Kenya to experience the charm and lay a more solid foundation for the friendship and win-win cooperation between the two countries.
