Irish Premiership: Larne defender Levi Ives signs for Coleraine
Coleraine have signed Larne defender Levi Ives on a “multi-year contract”.
Ives, 27, becomes the club’s third player to join the club this month, following Patrick Burns and Ronan Doherty.
Ives played for Torquay United before joining Inver Reds before joining Cliftonville in 2015 and making 245 appearances for the lonely club.
He joined Larne for an undisclosed fee in June 2023 and has been a key figure for the East Antrim club, helping them win back-to-back Irish Premier League titles and advance to the league stages of the UEFA Europa League.
“Levi is an important signing and defense is an area we are looking to strengthen in this window,” Coleraine head coach Dean Hills said.
“He brings a wealth of experience and great ability in the defensive area.
“He’s a winner, he’s won everything there is to win in this country. He’s still young and we’re approaching his prime years and that means a lot to us.”
Coleraine are currently ninth in the Irish Premier League and face Dungannon Swifts at Stanmore Park on Saturday.
Linfield winger Joel Cooper has been heavily linked with a move to Coleraine, with a move to Showside reportedly agreed in the summer.
