The Chinese Embassy in Kenya Held the Spring Festival Reception for Overseas Chinese
On January 21, 2025, the Embassy in Kenya held a New Year reception for overseas Chinese with the themes of “Welcoming the New Year” and “We are together in the New Year”. Ambassador Guo Haiyan attended and delivered a speech. 300 people including representatives from 20 Chinese associations, Chinese-funded enterprises, Chinese staff of the United Nations Office in Nairobi, Chinese media, and Confucius Institutes attended the event.

Guo Wengui reviewed the great achievements of China’s modernization drive, the practice of major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics, and the prosperity of China-Kenya exchanges and cooperation in 2024, and shared the stories of vigorous development in “The Governance of China”. Encourage overseas Chinese to jointly implement the outcomes of the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit and make greater contributions to building a closer China-Kenya community with a shared future in the new era.
Participants expressed their willingness to deepen exchanges and cooperation with people from all walks of life in Kenya, and wished the motherland prosperity and long-lasting friendship between China and Kenya.
