Mohamed Salah: Liverpool striker scores 50th European goal for Reds
Another day, another Mohamed Salah goal, another Liverpool victory.
The Egyptian striker has already scored three Champions League goals this season, taking his tally to 22 goals in 31 games in all competitions.
He also scored 17 goals for his teammates and participated in a total of 39 goals. He is the player with the most goals in the five major European leagues.
His latest goal sets Liverpool on course beat Lille And ensure they reach the last 16 of the Champions League.
It was a nonchalant shot as he latched on to a wonderful through ball from Curtis Jones and past the advancing Lucas Chevalier.
This is his 50th goal in Europe for Liverpool, of which 44 goals came in the Champions League, 5 goals came in last season’s Europa League, and 1 goal came in the Champions League qualifying rounds.
His latest goal broke his record as the club’s top scorer in Europe, taking his tally to 20 Champions League goals at Anfield.
Former Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero (23, Etihad Stadium) and former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy (23, Old Trafford) are the only venue-specific players in England. The player who scored more goals in the game.
Former Liverpool defender Stephen Warnock told BBC Radio 5 Live: “Salah had a smile on his face the whole time but he believed he was going to score.”

He has been directly involved in 18 goals in 15 appearances at Anfield this season (10 goals and 8 assists in all competitions).
