Chicago Bears appoint Ben Johnson as new head coach
The Chicago Bears named Ben Johnson their new head coach.
Johnson, 38, has been with the Detroit Lions since 2019 and served as the team’s offensive coordinator the past three seasons.
He succeeds Matt Eberfuss; who was fired November.
“He is a proven leader with a winning pedigree and an innovative spirit, and we are excited to welcome Ben and his family to Chicago as our new chief executive,” said Bears general manager Ryan Poles. head coach.”

The Bears finished last in the NFC North this season, losing 10 straight games after a strong start to finish with a 5-12 record.
