Alex Hartley: England have ‘lot of love’ for former spinner, says Amy Jones
England have ‘love’ for Alex Hartley despite former spinner claiming she’s been Received “cold reception” “It’s up to the team,” goaltender Amy Jones said.
Hartley, who works as a commentator in Australia, said former England team-mate Sophie Ecclestone refused her a TV interview during Monday’s first T20 match.

“It’s such a shame to read this,” Jones said. “We all respect that commentators have opinions and Alex’s job is to say how she feels and we all respect that.
“Hartley has a great personality and our team loves her, so I definitely don’t think that’s the case.”
England were beaten by defending champions Australia in Sydney, meaning the hosts secured an early spot in the Ashes after winning four of their four games.
Jones said she didn’t consider the criticism that would come with it.
“I can only speak for myself, but I just don’t like looking at (the media) because I know it could affect me, so it doesn’t do me any good,” Jones said.
“Criticism is their job and of course it serves an important purpose in growing the sport, but I don’t think I need the noise from the outside.”
