“If a manager said in an interview, ‘I’m always 100 per cent confident’, I wouldn’t believe it because that’s not true,” she told BBC Radio 5 Live Women’s Football Weekly Podcast.
“As a manager, of course you’re the leader and you take all the pressure on yourself, which is good. That’s my fuel and energy every day. Sometimes it’s good for people to understand that I’m vulnerable too.
“As a member of a family, sometimes you need to set the standard, sometimes you need to set high expectations. Sometimes it’s nice to say, ‘I need your support, I’m vulnerable, and it feels like you have my back.’ “.
