Six Nations 2025: Scotland ‘have to cope with injuries’ – Townsend after losing Tuipulotu

Gregor Townsend says Scotland “have to be able to deal with injuries” after losing Sione Tupolotu in the Six Nations.

Rory Darge and Finn Russell, who will serve as co-captains alongside Glasgow Warriors center Tuipulotu, have undergone pectoral muscle surgery and are expected to return before the end of the domestic season, Keeping him hopeful of staying with the British and Irish Lions.

“It was more of a blow to him,” Townsend said. “We really feel for him.

“We had three players injured, which is obviously very disappointing when the game is so close.

“For a team, you have to be able to deal with injuries. They happen before games but they also happen during games.”
