Lennon Miller: Motherwell reject ‘couple of offers’ amid Udinese report
Motherwell chief executive Brian Caldwell has revealed that Motherwell has “received offers from several clubs” for Scotland Under-21 midfielder Lennon Miller, which are “in line with our The valuations are very different.”
Previously, Sky Sports reported that Italian top-flight club Udinese made a £2.5 million offer for the 18-year-old player, but it was rejected by the Scottish Premiership club.
Caldwell’s statement came in a “January Update” posted on Weir’s YouTube channel following the team’s Scottish Cup defeat to St Johnstone at the weekend.
“We are in no rush to sell the player,” he said. “We always said from day one it had to be right for Lennon and it had to be right for the football club and we wouldn’t accept any form of offer.
“I believe that statistically Lennon Miller is in the top seven midfielders in the world for his age, so he is an exceptional talent – we all know that.
“And if Lennon does move, it’s the right price for us and the right price for Lennon Miller.”
Miller, who has been a key player in Stuart Kettlewell’s side over the past two seasons, is currently sidelined with a broken ankle.
