When to Stream Ridley Scott’s ‘Gladiator 2’ on Paramount Plus
Paramount Plus will soon have a new product to entertain streaming viewers: Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated historical sequel Gladiator 2.
In the follow-up to Scott’s 2000 Oscar-winning epic, Paul Mescal stars as Lucius – who idolized Russell Crowe in the first film Maximus the little boy. Lucius’ mother Lucilla was the sister of Emperor Commodus in the original film, played by returning actress Connie Nielsen. According to an insider, “Gladiator 2” is set many years later in ancient Rome, with Lucius “entering the Colosseum after his homeland was conquered by a brutal emperor.” Official introduction.
