Sione Tuipulotu: Scotland centre ruled out of Six Nations after training injury
Scotland captain Sione Tupulotu has been ruled out of the Six Nations after training with the Glasgow Warriors following an injury.
The 27-year-old center did not feature in Glasgow’s Champions League defeat to Harlequins at the weekend, although he was rested for the game anyway.
The upper-body injury also casts doubt on Tupulotu’s chances of touring Australia with the British and Irish Lions this summer.
Tupulotu has made 30 appearances for his country since 2021, scoring three goals for Scotland.
Scotland may also be unavailable after 28-year-old Scott Cummings came off with an arm injury against Harlequins.
Gregor Townsend’s side open the tournament at home to Italy on February 1.
