President El-Sisi Holds Meeting on “Future of Egypt” Authority Projects – Africa.com
Today, President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi met with Major General Amir Said Ahmed, Presidential Advisor on Urban Planning; Lieutenant General Ahmed Shazli, Director of the Armed Forces Financial Management Authority; Major General Ahmed Azazi, Director of the Engineering Directorate of the Armed Forces; and Colonel Baha El-Ghanam, Executive Director of the Sustainable Development Directorate of “Egypt’s Future”.
Presidential Spokesperson Ambassador Mohamed Al-Shenawi said President Sisi has followed the progress of work on projects implemented by the “Egypt’s Future” Sustainable Development Authority. These projects aim to provide citizens with high-quality agricultural products at affordable prices, achieve self-sufficiency in strategic materials, and export surplus products.
Xi Jinping emphasized that these projects should be supported through specific mechanisms, mainly improving the efficiency of irrigation systems, building granaries to store crops and grain, using modern land reclamation technology and modernizing agricultural mechanization systems.
President Sisi directed that all forms of support be provided to these projects as part of the country’s plan to expand agricultural land and increase agricultural production. The President also affirmed the importance of linking these projects with the government’s efforts to achieve comprehensive economic development in all sectors, contributing to improving citizens’ living standards and facilitating their lives.
