UGreen Nexode Pro 65W 3-Port Charger review: a diminutive, fast wall charger that won’t come cheap
UGreen Nexode Pro 65W 3-Port Charger Review
If you want to rejuvenate multiple devices at the same time, the UGreen Nexode Pro 65W charger might be perfect for you. The charger has three ports, two of which are USB-C and one is USB-A, with a maximum total power output of 65W.
Even with all three slots in use, 65W is probably enough power for fast charging on the phone. That’s because USB-C port 1 has a stable maximum output of 45W over three charges, and the other two ports are capable of delivering up to 15W. Still, if you’re looking for top charging speeds on three particularly power-hungry devices, this might not be enough. Thankfully, there are more powerful alternatives, such as Anker Prime 100W GaN wall charger (3-port) with higher total power output.
The actual charging performance here is strong, though. To test the charging speed, I plugged in Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Plug into USB-C port 1, Soundcore Space One Pro Plug into USB-C port 2 and LG Tone Free T90S Plug into the USB-A slot. Even if all three ports are in use, Samsung The phone is able to recover from 0% to 100% in an expected time frame of around 80 minutes – that’s what you’d expect from some phones The best iPhone chargers and The best Android phone chargers.
Best of all, this charger is very small – it doesn’t protrude too far from the socket – making it ideal if you’re working in a small space. This is thanks in part to the use of GaN technology, which is more energy efficient and more compact than typical silicon chargers. One issue I did have with the design, however, is that the prongs of the plug are not foldable. So if you want to put the charger in your pocket, you might feel the prongs digging into your side – which isn’t ideal. In addition, the appearance of UGreen Nexode Pro 65W may not be the most beautiful. The main body of the charger is an attractive silver rectangle, but the adapter on the front seems a bit shoehorned in – resulting in a slightly awkward look.
But overall, this is still a solid fast charging plug. Well, it’s priced at $55.99 / £44.99 (about AU$85), which is admittedly quite pricey – especially considering the very similar but non-GaN Anker 335 Charger (67W) is only $35.99 / £36.99 (approximately AUD 55) and It comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable. But again, the UGreen Nexode Pro 65W 3-Port Charger will almost certainly satisfy you in terms of performance – just don’t expect top-notch value or design.
