I’ve heard that one of the most popular words next to my name in internet searches is “height.”
That’s because I’m 5 feet 4 inches tall. This is very unique as most players currently on the WTA Tour are much taller.
I’ve heard that the average height of the current top ten players is about 5’10”. I was also told that I was the smallest player among the top 20.
But it’s not something I worry about – I’m just trying to play good tennis and focus on my game.
Being short means I have different weapons than taller players. We work with everything we have, you know!
I move around the court very well, which is generally said to be my greatest strength.
I have been quick and agile since I was a child.
I remember doing some sprint training at a tennis club when I was younger. I was one of the fastest at that time.
