Masters snooker: Judd Trump beats Ding Junhui to reach semi-finals
In the quarter-finals, the game between Ding Junhui and Trump was a high-quality scoring game, with seven of the nine games scoring more than 70 points.
Ding Junhui, the 2011 Masters champion, opened with outstanding performances of 70 and 74 to lead 2-0.
The left-handed Trump responded with a 75 to close the gap, but when the two-time Masters champion missed an embarrassing red card in the fourth inning, Ding Junhui came to the rescue with a 72.
Trump tied the score 3-2 with a 97-point break and tied the score with a half-century after Ding Junhui made a mistake in the sixth game. After that, the world’s ninth-ranked player failed to score again in the game. Score a goal.
The 2019 world champion dominated from there, completing the victory with stunning shots of 125, 62 and 75.
