Teenager found guilty of murdering 15-year-old girl
A teenager who stabbed schoolgirl Elianne Andam multiple times outside a shopping center has been found guilty of murder.
On September 27, 2023, Hassan Sentamu, then 17, attacked the 15-year-old boy during an argument over a teddy bear in Croydon, south London.
Hassan Sentamu, now 18, has pleaded guilty to manslaughter, claiming he had no control over his actions due to his autism, but the jury did not accept this defense of diminished responsibility.
The jury, which had been deliberating since Tuesday afternoon, returned the verdict by a 10-2 majority.
