Intel Arc B570 review: great value, but overshadowed by the far superior Arc B580
Intel Arc B570: Two-minute review
this Intel The Arc B570 is a graphics card that I really want to love, but my technical PC gaming heart belongs to another one.
I’m not talking about the recently announced NVIDIA RTX 50 series GPUs (although we’ll see those in due course). No, I’m already in love Intel Arc B580easily one best graphics card It stands out in the market with its excellent 1440p and 1080p gaming performance. And, unfortunately, it is At such a great price, it’s hard to truly recommend the Arc B570 in good conscience.
To be fair, the Intel Arc B570 has an RRP of $219/£219 (approximately AU$350), which arguably makes it cheapest graphics card The default is to do it now. Next cheapest current generation GPU (as of January 2025) AMD (this Radeon RX 7600) and Nvidia ( GeForce RTX 4060) is about 20 to 25 per cent more expensive, but still $30/£30 cheaper (about AU$90) than the Arc B580.
But the thing is, while such a cheap card has some impressive specs and solid 1080p performance, for a little more money you can get a future-proof GPU that lets you play at higher 1440p resolutions. Play games at high speed if you choose Arc B580. Of course, this assumes you can get That Buy cards at regular retail prices, not the inflated prices online from profiteering retailers and third-party sellers.
But looking strictly at the Arc B570’s merits, ignoring any external factors that might change it, there’s no denying that the Arc B570 is one of the best 1080p graphics cards you can buy, especially considering its price.
At this price point you really have to compare the Arc B570 to graphics cards from a few years ago, such as Nvidia GeForce RTX 1060 Really put things into perspective. For example, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 The launch price is $30 more than the Arc B570, and while I no longer own that card to compare Intel’s latest offerings in head-to-head matches like I’d hoped, it really isn’t a great card. Justifies its price. Whatever you think of the Arc B570, you can’t say under any circumstances that this GPU is worth the money.
It’s heartbreaking, then, that this card is only overshadowed by its slightly more expensive sibling. If the Intel Arc B570 were priced at $199, it would be an absolute winner on the budget. Hell, it still is, but with so little difference between the B570 and B580, almost every potential buyer would be better off borrowing a little extra cash from a friend, sibling, parent, or even stranger, and buy the more powerful B580 .
Intel Arc B570: Pricing and Availability
- How much? Prices start at $219/£219 (approximately AU$350)
- When can I get it? You can get it from January 16, 2025
- Where can I buy it? You can buy it in the US, UK and Australia
The Intel Arc B570 will be available in the US, UK and Australia from January 16, 2025, priced at $219/£219 (approximately AU$350).
That makes it $30/£30 cheaper (around AU$90) than the Intel Arc B580, which will be released in December 2024. That said, it’s significantly cheaper than the competing AMD Radeon RX 7600 and Nvidia RTX 4060, both of which are at least 20% more expensive for roughly the same performance.
I’ll delve into the price/performance of this card later, but I can tell you right now that it’s one of the best cards out there for modern GPUs, but it’s still far behind the Intel Arc B580, unless you’re seriously strapped for cash, or the B580 The price being flipped is too high, otherwise it would be difficult to recommend this card.

Intel Arc B570: Performance
- Outstanding 1080p performance
- Doable 1440p (within reason)
- Arc B580 is better, but not as expensive
Ultimately, it’s performance that counts, and the Intel Arc B570’s top-line numbers are impressive for a card in its price range, but it’s almost exclusively a 1080p card unless you make a lot of compromises for 1440p resolution, which, frankly, It’s impossible and ultimately not worth it.
When it comes to creative workloads or artificial intelligence, this card isn’t for you. If you’re really strapped for cash but need more than a basic cheap gaming GPU, I’d go with the RTX 4060.
It’s also important to point out that its 1080p gaming performance isn’t on par with its more expensive rivals in many games, so if you’re looking for a card that will undoubtedly get you 60fps consistently at 1080p at max settings, look no further than this one. You might be better off comparing the card to some of its more expensive competitors.
That said, on average, across several games in my test suite, including games like Cyberpunk 2077, F1 2024, Total War: Warhammer IIILike the others, this card averages 60 fps at 1080p. Average minimum fps is 34.
Of course, it performs better on some games than others, and there are some games you won’t be able to play at the maximum settings for playable frame rates (e.g. black myth wukong), but from all the games I’ve played, 1080p is pretty passable, and I can occasionally play 1440p to experience it.
For its price, it’s really great, especially when you get a graphics card capable of ray-traced gaming, but for just a little more you can get even better results with the B580.
Should you buy the Intel Arc B570?
value | For the price, it’s hard to beat, but if you have any wiggle room in your budget, the B580 is the better choice. | 4.5/5 |
Specifications and features | 10GB VRAM is pretty good for the price. | 4/5 |
Performance | This is technically a 1080p graphics card, but there are better options out there for a little more money. | 3.5/5 |
final grade | This is an excellent GPU considering its price point, but with a little more investment you can do much better, making it something I can only really recommend to those on a very small budget. | 4/5 |
